A. Motor Control DAC Outputs can be used as either 0-10 volts for unidirectional systems and for bi-directional systems +/- 10 Volts. On the CM2 range two channels of DAC are provided, on the CM3 - 3 channels and on the CM4 - 4 channels.

The output is rated at +/- 10 volts at 5mA, with a maximum output impedance of 2200 ohms (with respect to the 0 volt rail). The DAC may be updated at intervals as low as 244 microseconds and has a resolution of 12 bits. This can used as 11 bits in each direction. i.e. 2048 representing +10 volts, -2047 representing -10 volts and 0 representing 0 volts. This gives a system resolution of 4.88 milli-volts per digital increment, which produces extremely fine control.

This signal can drive TRM's range of DC Drives and is also capable of driving third party A.C. and D.C. drives.
